HOW TO CREATE NEW HABITS: A TOOL AT THE SERVICE OF ALL TYPES OF LEARNING

I still remember how my daily routines helped me during the lockdown period. They gave my day a structure to follow that allowed me to continue my journey towards my personal and professional goals despite the difficult situation.


Although that period is only a distant memory, I am constantly trying to introduce new habits into my daily reality. I do this because I am deeply convinced of their invaluable contribution.


It is also through small habits that I approach any kind of learning. Whatever my goal is, through small, simple steps that I include in my daily, weekly or monthly routine, I gradually get closer to it.


But is there a method for creating new habits?


Until I listened to the podcast I would like to share with you today, I was not using a real method but mainly my intuition.

In this podcast, Dr. B. J. Fogg explains his method of quickly creating new habits, according to which B=MAT. In other words, B (behaviour) is the sum of M (motivation), A (ability) and T (trigger). I hope you'll also find this useful.
